An Escape Bag
My dad told me to have an escape bag. A bag we'll carry just in case something happens to our house. Inside of it, we store everything we believe we need the most. Some important documents, keys, cash, license, important phone number, anything.
So, if our house is burning out and we're panicking, we'll just have to take that one bag and then we can run as fast as we could and leave the house.
But what if, the thing that's about to burn out, the thing that we want to run away from, the thing to be left behind, is not our house,
but something much bigger than the house?
Like maybe, our life?
What is that bag supposed to have on the inside?
How do we decide what part of our life we want to take and what part we want to forget?
How do we choose those people we'll let in and those we will not?
How do we know that everything inside that bag is everything we'll ever need? That we won't regret later because we left what matters the most behind?
